Luxurious accommodation at the Old Excise House B&B, Laphroaig, Islay

THE ROOMS

Both the en-suite rooms at the Old Excise House are generous in size, of individual character and décor, with sea views, large comfortable beds and crisp white Egyptian cotton linen.

Each room is equipped with ‘freesat’ flat screen tv, alarm clock, hairdryer, wifi connection and welcome trays with fresh milk and home-made biscuits.  The luxurious bathrooms have large fluffy white towels, heated towel rail, shaver point and locally made toiletries from Spirited Soaps.

Texa

On the first floor, this south facing room has double aspect sea views towards the Antrim coast and a kingsize, antique Victorian cast iron and brass bed.  Furnished in pale tones it has a light and airy feel, making the most of the spectacular views.  The contemporary en-suite shower room features a generous walk in shower.

Laphroaig

Next to Texa on the first floor with a sea view over the rocky shoreline towards Port Ellen and the Oa.  It has a Superking bed which can also be made into twin beds.  The room is furnished in natural warm tones and has a spacious feel.  The large en-suite traditional bathroom with views over farmland to Laphroaig distillery, features a very generous, freestanding cast iron roll top bath, difficult to leave for those who love bathing.

Rates are per room per night.
£125 per night based on double occupancy.

All rates include full breakfast. Complimentary afternoon tea is offered on arrival.

Children over the age of 12 occupying their own room are very welcome.  The Old Excise House is a non smoking establishment and we regret that we cannot accommodate pets.  Our rooms can accommodate a maximum of 2 and the Laphroaig Room can be a twin if required.

Payment by cash, UK bank cheque or sterling travellers cheques only.

Cancellation policy.  We will not make a charge for a cancellation provided it is made 28 days or more, prior to your arrival date.  For cancellations with shorter notice (less than 28 days before arrival), we will not make a charge if we are able to re-let the room(s).  If we are unable to re-let the room(s) we will need to charge 100% of the full cost of your booking.  Therefore we do recommend you take out a suitable holiday insurance policy.
